William and Martha Mercer loved celebrating the holidays with friends and neighbors at Aldie Mansion. Heritage Conservancy continues the tradition by opening the mansion doors for one day to share the magic of the season. Experience the dazzling decorations and glowing fireplaces while sipping hot cider and hot chocolate.

This event is free and all are welcome. A Chamber Choir from the Bucks County Choral Society (see below) will perform a short concert at the 5:30 PM start.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a guided tour scheduled between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM and you have questions, you can contact our main line at 215-345-7020 or email Carryn at cgolden@heritageconservancy.org. Tours start promptly on time. Tours are free, but a $5 per person suggested donation is appreciated at the door.

For Heritage Conservancy’s Holiday Open House at Aldie Mansion, a Chamber Choir of about 30 members of the Choral Society will perform at 5:30 PM.

Founded in 1973, the Bucks County Choral Society is an auditioned volunteer choir based in Doylestown, PA. Under the direction of Artistic Director Thomas Lloyd, the 100-voice choir performs in venues throughout Bucks County and is widely recognized as the area’s premiere large choral ensemble. The Choral Society performs an extensive repertoire of music, ranging from classical to contemporary, including pieces by local composers as well as works specially commissioned for the group. In addition to its annual four-concert program subscription series, the Choral Society serves the community through its “Voices of the Future” solo performance opportunities for young singers, as well as through its acclaimed “Singing for Seniors” program, which involves hundreds of local seniors in choral singing under the leadership of Thomas Lloyd and Choral Society Assistant Director Susan Johnson.
